Change your limiting beliefs

What is holding you back is your limiting beliefs.

There's only so much you can do when your mind is limited. Most of the time you don't even realize that it is your mind that's holding you back. So what do you have to do ... you have to acknowledge your limiting beliefs, put them into words and change their story.

Change your limiting beliefs and change your life

Changing your limiting beliefs takes time, these are beliefs you've had since early childhood and therefore it takes some real effort to change them. Most have grown up listening to parents talking negatively about a group of people. My parents was always talking about that person in the expensive car who acted like he owned the road. I don't even think the person in the car had to do anything specific, he just had to be on the road and automatically he was talked about as if he was bad. This got stuck to me, and I think I have forwarded this to my daughter unintentionally. That's a blockage in me towards people with money in fancy cars, and the reason I can't have a fancy car. I first have to change that belief about people in expensive cars. How can I get an expensive car when I think people in fancy cars are bad people? I don't want to be bad, so I can't have an expensive car, my limiting belief.

Limiting beliefs are automated and we have to make new automated thoughts.

As an automation activator and to change this belief I have to be aware of my thoughts when I see a fancy or expensive car driving past me or if I see one parked up. I look at the car and the person inside, I smile and say (to myself or out loud) "nice car, bless you for driving that awesome car I wish it was me". Awareness is the clue, I can not let my old belief get a chance to come out.
It takes 30 days to make a habit and it takes 90 days to make it an automated thought. So after 30 days it becomes a habit for me to do this, and after 90 day this will be an automatic response when I see a car like that. But if I stumble and have one negative thought or say something negative I have to start all over again.

It's a process

Be patient with yourself, but be aware. There are no shortcuts around this process. I'm not saying it will take you 90 days or more to change your beliefs, but don't expect your beliefs to change over night. Some of our limiting beliefs are stronger than others. Imaging if you were told to believe that science is mistaken and all the satellite photos are scam. The Vikings were right all along, the world is flat and held together by a large snake. It's going to take some convincing for you to believe in that. So when you are in the process of changing your beliefs you have to gather evidence that your new beliefs are true. You have to convince your subconscious mind, and that takes some serious proofs.

Gathering evidence

For every expensive car I see, I make sure to get eye contact with whoever is driving and I smile to them. If they stop for me or smile back I have a new piece of evidence. And I put that in the evidence pile to strengthen my new belief. It helps to write it all down, then your subconscious mind will believe it faster or stronger. I write down that people in expensive cars are nice, they smile and stop for me in traffic. There's something definite with the written word, it's as if everything we write is the truth to the subconscious mind. That's also why we write down our goals. Our subconscious mind believes us more if we write it.

The power of the believe is no longer holding you back

When you have convinced your subconscious mind your limiting belief will no longer hold you back. You have now a brand new belief and you have unblocked yourself. I can now own a fancy and very expensive car and I'm a nice and considerate person. When you have changed one limiting belief it will be easier for you to change other limiting beliefs that you might have.
If you  look at your life and you don't have everything you want, you have a blockage somewhere and there's a belief there you have to change. If you don't change the limiting belief to a strengthening belief you will never have that thing in your life.

“If you accept a limiting belief, then it will become a truth for you.” ―Louise Hay
